Ive had to make alot of adjustments to my truss rod with the changing weather recently, and im pretty sure i stripped the adjustment nut. Will the stewart mac fender bullet style fit right into my MIM standard jazz or is that a guitar part?

Anyone have any experience switching out there truss rod nut?

were you jamming the wrong-sized wrench in there? it should only take a 3/16".

you can get a replacement from fender. i believe it is specific to mexi basses. (not sure if it fits mexi guitars, but i know it won't fit any USA stuff.)

sure thing...as I remember, they actually take a larger allen wrench then 3/16's. I think 3/16th's is what the MIA nuts use...these are a bit larger (which I actually prefer)...there's less likelyhood of the hex part of the nut stripping out...

I buy a lot of my bass stuff from these guys...good company to do business with.

My brand new HW-one came with a partially stripped TR nut. By this i mean using the TR tool would just rotate it in the nut, i had to take the PG off each time i wanted to make an adjustment a si had to apply quite a bit of pressure to keep the Allen key from slipping.
I got in touch with Fender and to their credit, sent me a double pack of TR nuts.

Might be worth calling them first.
