Replacing fret board dots

    Is it feasible? What would be the best method for extracting the current ones without damaging the surrounding wood? I'm just thinking it would be neat to dress up a fretboard with some abalone dots.

    Have a drill press? I guess you could drill them out and replace. I can't think of another way to do it.

    That's how my friend and I did it. It took a while, but got it done.
     
  4. I'm working up the nerve to do it on my P-Bass clone. I don't think there's any shortcut, unfortunately.
