Replacing my Pickups and Preamp

    I have a Zon 6 String and an Ibanez SR800 4 string,
    I want to start playing the four again, but the electronics are just shot, they make a wah like noise whenever I turn any of the knobs, and the sound is very hollow.

    I want to know what a good Pickup / Preamp combination is. I was thinking maybe Alembic pickups or some Bartolinis

    It is routed for 2 P's and a J

    I play mostly hard rock, progressive, and I am looking for a very warm, natural tone.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

    I fitted the Alembic system to a Warwick(2 J's and a 'filter') I think that the PJ set has the same eq. It's has a low pass filter and 'natural' is in there but not straight away. Full on is too bright and min is too dull. After a couple of weeks I was ok with it.

    It is a very expensive system ans if you want one then I got mine from bass central ask for Grasshopper or TB'er Gard.
