replacing speakers

    I have a yamaha 55B amp pretty old i guess i dont know i got it used and dont know what watt it is.. but it keeps up with everything else.. what i wonder is if i should buy a new speaker to lower the distortion levelbecause it happenes pretty quickly liek around the point where i get heard but my amp can go alot louder.. i dont know if i should buy a new speaker and if i should what kind and if not are there any suggestions?

    A new speaker will not make your amp louder. If it distorts, its because you are pushing it to its limits.

    For more power, get a louder amp...

    yea but if i get a new speaker witha bigger magnet then the distortion rate wont be as loud
