Replacing stock MM pickups...thinking of Basslines

Anyone have any experience or know of anyone that has switched to SD pickups for their MM. I have a RAy 4, and it is a little bright and punchy at times. I play out of an SVT3, with a 410HLF cab. I love the combo, as it has plenty of balls but I'm thinking that replacing the pickups with customs might even take my setup to the next level. Let me know what you guys think...

Basslines MM is also bright. You might want to consider Bart MM instead, or Basslines MM with alnico (not ceramic) magnets.

Sorry I don't have anything to report just yet, but I'm building a bass which is going to have the Basslines MM pup with an Aguilar onboard preamp. Will keep you posted!
