I am so in love with this song and I would absolutely appreciate it if somebody made the tabs for this song for me. And if possible while you're at it help me figure out how to play by ear. I can hear the bass and tell WHEN every note is hit but I can never figure out WHICH note is hit. I heard somebody say once that the bass note is always the root note of the guitar chord (if the chord is Cm then the note on bass is C) but I don't know if that's always the case. I know it's a four minute song but please and thank you very much!

"I heard somebody say once that the bass note is always the root note of the guitar chord"

If someone uses the word "always" when explaining music theory, always be skeptical....

The bass will often play the root, but not every time. Sometimes you will play an inversion. Instead of the root, you may use one of the other chord tones. Other times you might use scale tones, or other passing tones, that connect chords in a melodic way. With a little practice you can learn to distinguish chords based on roots from inversions. Then you can next learn to distinguish which inversion. Start with a guitar, play a D chord and listen to how the open D string supports the chord as root note. Then mute the open D and walk around a little on the A and E strings and listen to how different notes harmonize or create dissonance with other notes from the D chord. Then do the same thing- walk the bass note around- with other chords. Plunking around like this on a keyboard can teach you a lot. Play chords with your right hand and listen as you try different bass notes with your left hand.

All of this might help with your ear training. Please accept my apologies, but I have too much gray hair to be much help with writing tab for this tune. Is this screamo? I had not heard this tune before. I feel really old. I will now go back to watching my Lawrence Welk and Andy Griffin reruns on TV.

Thanks for letting me know man I'll try it! It's fine though I understand, and it's actually metalcore by the way. Pretty sweet!
