    Like what kind of info?

The Gibson made Dobro basses were dropped due to poor sales. Bass Player reviewed them and found them not much louder than a "normal" ABG despite the resonator.

thanks. that's the kind of info I'm looking for. the Gibson Dobro basses are on their website still, I didn't knw if they wre available, or any good. the new nationals just came out and I wondered whether they were any good. I undestand that they are louder than an ABG, but I don't know how many resophonic bassistas are out there and whether there is any qualitative comparison. Despite volume, the rsophonic has a distinct sound, and I have found no evidence or recordings of anyone using them, as opposed to all of the resophonic guitar recordings.
