i just got a bridge for my j-bass and want to replace it imidiatly, but to replace it you need to remove the strings right?

last week i bought marcus miller DRs and i dont want to throw them away so can you re-use after you remove?

    please help.

I don't think it should harm the strings... I've taken my DRs off and restrung them several times, and I haven't had any problems with them... yet. :)

  3. You should be good to go...however...you might have trouble getting the strings back through the bridge, with how they tend stay bent at the ends from the tuning posts...depending on the bridge style.
