Killer semi-hollow short scale with a few tricks up its sleeve. Pickups have been upgraded to Bartolini MMCs, and a Bartolini TC3 active booster is secured under the control plate (that's over $250 in upgrades!). Controls are pickup toggle/volume/tone. Volume is push/pull active/passive. This configuration gives the passive options of the original setup plus the boosted settings as well. With this setup this bass does killer thump like the best of 'em, but it can also get a modern, burpy finger funk vibe that I did not expect from a short-scale bass (bridge pu, tone rolled off a bit). It looks like a mellow classic but it's got serious oomph under the hood. Just a joy to gig with due to it's light weight, unexpected versatility, and easy playablity. Condition is very good: two small compression dents (one front, one back) and expected player wear (swirling and a few small scratches), but no dings or chunks taken out. The neck has no scratches or dings and is one of the straightest, truest necks I've played. Truss rod has room in both directions, frets are in great shape with no sprout and minimal wear, no issues whatsoever with this bass. Currently strung with GHS Balanced Nickels.

    Specs:
    Nut is 1.65"
3/4" string spacing at the bridge
    Korina body
    5-piece neck
    Hipshot Ultralight tuners
    Lock-down bridge
    7.5 lbs

Shipping is a flat $50 CONUS. Ships in a US Masters gig bag that is functional but is missing a couple of pull tags on the zipper. No trades, thank you.

  2. Do you know the actual weight? Are the original pickups included?

It weighs in at 7.5 lbs on the bathroom scale. No, I don't have the original pickups. Thanks for your interest.
