Took my "new to me" Reverend P/J 4 to work last night, for use at the local blues society weeekly blues jam.

Pre-Show comment from one of the other bass players:
"Uhhh, wow, wierd lookng bass man, did you make that yourself? It looks kinda like an old Dan Electro."

    After I played:
"Holy crap that thing sounds huge...uhhh, can I try it?"

    After that:
    "Where do you buy these?"

    Ha!

My bugeye always gets plenty of looks - and often the question of "Did you put that bumper plate on there yourself?"

I guess here in Texas anything shiny and bumpy like that immediately makes folks think "bumper plate".

Huh...just so happens I have some extra diamond plate on a junk Land Cruiser I just bought...

  4. I'm taking my Reverend twins to the studio this weekend, and on two gigs next week, in front of all kinds of new people. I can't wait for the jaws to drop (the tone, not my playing!) Never fails.

My P/J kills. I just recorded last week with my JJ. It sounded great!
