hi, nice forum full of very informative stuff . i was wondering if anyone could tell me anything from playing the new reverend pj bass since its in my price range. thx.
Lemme be the first to welcome you to Talkbass eroc! I've heard, (but not played), Reverend basses in two different local bands and they sounded great. Some on this site own and love them... Here are links to some searches on Reverend and Rumblefish The search feature on this site is truly awesome, and you'll find answers to many questions there. Enjoy yourself! -robert
Reverends are running about a six week lead time from order. My Moroccan gold Rumblefish PJ has been on order for about two weeks. I will be posting pics and a review as soon as I get this bass in my hands. I ordered one without ever playing one "bassed" on the posts here at Talkbass. Right now Reverend has free shipping. You can always order one, then return it if it doesn't work out. You would only be out the return shipping - around $20.00. Read the profiles of some of the Reverend owners/reviewers or PM Dave Siff. The folks who "own" both Rev's and boutique basses rate the Rev's right up there. If you are looking for slapp'n type funk machine, this probably isn't the one. FYI, according to Steve Yankee with Reverend, they still have the material make Lava Swirl, Bugeyed Chrome, Engine Turn and most any of the finishes they have done in the past. They just have a limited supply of the materials left. My wife gave me permission to buy the Moroccan Gold - although the Lava Swirl was calling my name too........
