Has anyone used a reverse delay pedal like this one http://store.subtleovertone.com/bataredepe.html ? I get that it plays things backwards but how can it do this? Does it play after 4 seconds what u just played in those four seconds backward or what? People with experience in this kinda pedal please reply. thanks
The easiest way to describe it is that if you slide up, it echos like you're sliding down, and if you play the notes "A to G" it'll play the echo "G to A." Very trippy and very cool.
the best reverse delay i've ever played was on the fender cybertwin in a patch called "subliminal Jimi" pretty sweet. but to elaborate my first post, i don't believe that most people use a full 4 second delay for reverse delay, but more in the Ms range...a good example is RHCP's "give it away" listen to the guitar solo...
my boss dd5 has a reverse mode, but it mixes too much of the dry signal in with the reverse effect causing it to not be as pronounced. i believe AnalogMan does a mod to remove the dry signal when in reverse mode to fix the problem. reverse effects are great, the digitech digiverb has a reverse reverb effect which supposedly sounds really cool. anyone tried it? -dave
