    Features
    It is a standard Boss pedal.

    The top features 5 pots and a switch :
    <ul>

    <li>Concentric volume knob ( 2 pots )
    <ul>
    <li>ring : Clean bass volume
    <li>tip : Effect volume
    </ul></li><p>

    <li>Concentric Low- / Highpass filter knob ( 2 pots )
    <ul>
    <li>ring : Cutoff ( Frequency )<br>
    In mode 1 - 7 this knob determines the constant cutoff-frequency.<br>
    In Mode 8 - 9 it determines the minimum cutoff-frequency.
    <li>tip : resonance, this determines how bassy the sound is. Basicly..the more you turn it, the more highs you'll get.
    </ul></li><p>

    <li> Sensitivity / decay knob.<br>
    In the touch-wah mode's, this determines how much the wah should sweep ( e.g. same effect as the button on the bassballs ).<br>
    In mode 1 - 7 it determines how long the effect lasts. the more you turn it, the longer the effect is.</li><p>

    <li> Mode selector. you have 11 choices :
    <ul>
    <li>1 - Sawtooth</il>
    <li>2 - Square</il>
    <li>3 - Pulse width modulation ( same as square, but the bass alters the sound to make it fatter )</il>
    <li>4 - Sawtooth, but 1 octave lower</il>
    <li>5 - sawtooth + noise</il>
    <li>6 - Pulse width modulation + noise </il>
    <li>7 - Sawtooth, but 1 octave lower + noise</il>
    <li>8 - positive Wave shape mode</il>
    <li>9 - negative Wave shape mode</il>
    <li>10 - positive Touch-wah</il>
    <li>11 - negative Touch-wah</il>
    </ul></li></ul>

    The wave-shape mode is basicly a sawtooth, but the volume of the bass determines the Cutoff-frequency.

    positive - more volume = more cutoff
    negative - more volume = less cutoff

    it has 2 outputs for stereo sound, and you can split the sound. e.g. put the effect on amp 1, and the clean sound on amp 2.. VERY nice

    the sound
    This effect really learns you how to play bass properly..You really have to play the whole note with full attack and release the note at the end.
    So no ringing of the string, because the sound will last until the note is released.

    It has problems with tracking fast notes, but for mid-tempo music it's no problem.

    the sound at itself is very nice. the filter is very sensitive, so if you turn it, turn it gently or you'll turn it too much.

    special note goes to mode 7 ! if you turn decay way up, and both freq and res way down, you can use it as octave-pedal. just toy with the volumes. :)

    Reliability
    1 word : Boss

    Conclusion
    It's a very nice pedal, but you have to learn how to use it properly.

    Samples

    <li>2 - Square</il>
    <li>3 - Pulse width modulation</il>
    <li>4 - Sawtooth, but 1 octave lower</il>
    <li>5 - sawtooth + noise</il>
    <li>6 - Pulse width modulation + noise</il>
    <li>7 - Sawtooth, but 1 octave lower + noise</il>
    <li>8 - positive Wave shape mode</il>
    <li>9 - negative Wave shape mode</il>
    <li>10 - positive Touch-wah</il>
    <li>11 - negative Touch-wah</il>

    Nicely done Allo-d!

    No more waitin' for them ying-yangs at buzzfox to get their...stuff together.

  3. Very nice AllodoX, very cool synth tracks and nice use of the wah. I'm very impressed.

  4. Cool man. Nothing new to me, I've had mine for a while now.

    I totally agree w/ the #7 setting. #3 in second, and #5 is third in usage for me. That and the positive T-wah.

    Very good review.

  5. actually.. they suck.. :)

    but hey.. i had to do SOMETHING.. :)
    ( and at least i have the guts to post such bad mp3's :D )

  6. I guess I'm just a synth addict... Good fix though.

  7. Note

    this thing has better octave-tracking than the EBS octabass..

    put it in mode 4 or 7, and turn the filter way down.. nice :D

    very cool. Does a lot of what my auto wah can plus many other sounds. I might get one later, but I have no use for it now.

    if only the pedal "learned" you to SPEAK properly. [wink, wink]

    hey, i should lay off. you do, indeed, speak great for a non-american-or-englishman (your lingual error is common for whom we yanks call "rednecks").

    about the pedal: i tried one at a mars music and it is one versatile unit. its got distortion, auto-wah, and octave in it, but isn't quite the same as having some sort of three-in-one unit. i personally don't like synths and have no desire to emulate one.

    if only my computer and internet connection didn't blow horse teat, i would download those mp3 samples.
