Rewind or Replace?

    Ok, so in the continuing saga of the 450B I was able to get the treble pickup out of the bass, and also out of all the epoxy potting. It still reads open with an ohm meter so I'm assuming that the windings brok internally or something like that.

    Question now is to have it rewound or put in a replacement? if so, what replacement? I'd like to keep it passive.

    There's a local luthier that says he can rewind it, not su re about the cost.

    Any thoughts on Rewind or Replace?
