I have a GK 1001RB-II head and I'm trying to power an 8 ohm Ampeg 15 and a 4 ohm Avatar 210. How can I rewire the Avatar from 4 to 8 ohms so that the total load will be 4 ohms to the GK?

Thanks for your help and sorry if this has already been covered.
  2. You can't rewire a 2 spkr cab from 4 to 8 ohms.

Its 2 8 ohm drivers if its 4 ohm cab. Series=16 ohms Parallel = 8 ohms. No other options exists for alternate wiring.

You have to replace the drivers with
    a) 4 ohm drivers in series=8 ohms.
    b) 16 ohm drivers in parallel=8 ohms.

The 4 ohm Avatar is two 8 ohm speakers in parallel. Only way you can make it 8 ohm's is

    1. replace the speakers with 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel or 4 ohm speakers wired in series

    2. Disconnect one of the speakers in the cab, so it presents an 8 ohm load.
