rewounding a p-up. how to?

    Hmm ok i was thinking how many wounds of cooper wire do i need to give?, wich wire is best?, how to put terminals to plug into pots????

    Thousands or maybe tens of thousands of coils IIRC, really not a light-hearted project. Needs to be stacked neatly while doing it too. Takes weeks if you're doing it in your spare time.
     
  3. More than that, tone is affected by the tension on the wire at certain points during winding. It's not just a matter of wrapping wire round a bobbin thirty thousand times.

    This guy once wound me some strat pickups (very well, too) and gave me precisely the amout of mid-cut I had asked for...here's pics

    isnt there any tutorial availiable? i know how to make a winder, but need futher info on the tension thing, the wire used and others.
