Well, I was talking about it with my parents, and well, I may not be able to go to the NE G2G, since I may be in new hampshire, and may go to see Garrison Kealler with my aunt and uncle. So I thought that if I couldn't go, at least i'll have a RI get together so it won't sting as much. My parents have already agreed to letting me use the studio downstairs. Or if someone has a music store they could let us use for the day or a couple of hours, that would be cool.
T, my parents already know that TB is all ages thursday night sounds good... Shaz? BFunk? anyone else thats in the area and wants to stop by?
Sounds cool. I have a studio in Providence that we could use any time except Tues, Thurs, and Sat eve.
BFunk, do you have pics of this studio? I think it would be better if we could do it in providence, rather than out in the backwoods. Wed. is good for me too
No pictures of the whole studio. Just pictures of my rig in the studio. It's 640 sq ft. It's in downtown Providence. It has AC and a service elevator. Plus we can play there with volume after 6 pm. I also have a Cubase recording system if we want to try some recording stuff. Oh, there is a full PA too. For rigs I have an SWR Megoliath, Aguilar DB 728, and Kern IP-777, plus a bunch of effects. I also have an Ampeg B-15R, and an Ampeg B-112. Wednesday would be fine. Just let me know when.
Depending on the day, I'll take a ride down to little Rhodie. I'ts not looking to good for the NE GTG. No luck with venues
Not that we can use. I sublet the space to another band a couple of nights a week. Thier set is there, but I wouldn't feel right about asking to use it. There is plenty of space if someone wants to bring one.
Funkster... It may be a little long, but literally RIGHT next to my house is the neighborhood club house. It can be rented out for parties and such, and since my family is a member of the neighborhood, we can rent it out from i think 7 PM-1AM, but the only problem is that of the neighbors... last time I played there, the neighbors shut us down because I ended up rumbling their house, and I don't think people would want to drive that far.
Well since we have a PA, I have an electric Yamaha Drumset we're storing/borrowing for a friend. It's lightweight and a breeze to setup.
how about a R.I/Cape Cod GTG? Although i think Beefbass, karl hoyt, and myself are the only cape codders.
whoa buddy!! cape cod is full for the summer Damn tourist. all they do is boost our local economy while jamming all the roads. sheesh
