Ric Players: Rounds or Flats?

    I'm curious what percentage of Ric players opt for flatwounds over roundwounds. If you're inclined, let me know what style(s) you play predominantly. Thanks for the insight.

    I use Lakland Osborn flats exclusively. It's a fretless 4001, and I play jazz, blues, alt. rock.

    I play mostly rock and use roundwounds. Tone sounds more aggressive to me.

    I use RotoSound Swing Bass roundwounds.
  5. TI Powerbass roundwounds, heavy gauge. I'll never use anything else on my ricky!

    Dean Markley Blue Steel Roundwounds on my 4001 for new/old punk and hard rock/metal

    I own a 1974 4001 and I have always used Daddario's extra lights on it. It just sounds awsome!
