i'm thinking about putting a kahler on my rick. the one thing that worried me was the thin body and the minute routing for the trem. when i took of the bridge, there was already a cavity pretty deep that looked stock (had paint). does anybody else have this as well? and also i'm worried that since the bridge has those funny mutes that i would have to route out farther back and a little deeper. also, are the kahler's topmounted like a lot of guitar humbuckers? cause if it was it wouldn't matter if there was a ginormous hole through the body.

Yeah that bridge route is normal.

The Rick body is already pretty thin. That under the bridge route is factory (unless someone added the Geddy Bada$$ I mod)..You will have to have more wood taken out to accomodate that bridge. Maybe a Fender better for mods...
