    Hi all.
Just posting ending to tread I had a while back.
I'am very happy to say I'am a new owner of a Renaissance
    Acoustic bass.
    5-string fretless. BEADC.
Walnut back, spruce top, fretless fingerboard, lines, and dots.
Sunburst finish, with inlays on top.
This bass play and sound incredible, right out of the case.
Could not be happier, with this bass, it exceeds my expectations.
Took it to a bluegrass gig last night, got nothing but complaments, on it's sound and looks.
I'd like to personaly thank Rick Turner, and Barry Perlman
for standing behind there product, and getting me this bass.
Thanks also, for the upgrades you gave to me at your own expence.
    I'am one happy bassplayer.

So was your first thread good for nothing, or is it still fair to say that Rick Turner takes 4 times longer to do what he promises?

    Just to respond.
I had issues with Ric, regarding what I went threw regarding my first bass.
And the only negative thing I can say is, If you order a bass from Ric, you will wait longer the first quoted.
My first bass, I was quoted 3 months to complete.
    I took 7 1/2 months.
As said, I did not get bass I orded. Mine was custom.
    I recieved another bass.
I did not get the first replacement bass reorded in march of 2005. (due to computer problems).
The second replacement bass, (this bass) was ordered on feb-1-06.
I was told I would have bass in 3 weeks.
    It took 9 weeks.
I did not mind waiting as long as I got what I ordered.
That said, the bass I have now is everything I wanted In a Turner Bass.
If you don't mind waiting you will be happy.

I think there's still a message in this story, even just starting from 2006. Even with Mojo having bass in hand, nothing changes the Energy and Time it took to push the RT people into doing The Right Thing. The push started a loooonnnnnnnng time ago.

    Caveat Emptor
Do yourself a favor and read all the RT dialog here before parting with your money. There are many other builders in the world who take care of their customers the right way, without arm twisting, including several awesome TBers. Consider keeping your money in the family.

Mojo - glad to hear the story has a positive ending. Ya Gotta post pics some time. :)

Agreed. I'm really glad Turner came through and Mojo got the bass he ordered......but, lying to the people that supply the money that puts food on your plate and a roof over your head is just low down, dirty business.
