Rickenbacker 4003: How do u use the muter?

    Hello to those in the know!

    How do I use the string muter on my 4003? Please advise:help:

    Crank those knobs on either side of the bridge that look identical to the old style strap pins. The higher you crank it, that foam pad will raise up for that McCartney thump circa 66-67.

    Mine , aswell as others ae not bent properly from the factory so you don't get even muting unless you got lucky and get one that is perfect. I had to diassemble my bridge to change the bend on it making it usable.

    The screws next to the mute are turned clockwise to raise the mute, CCW to lower it.

    Figured it was simple, but the manual doesn't talk about it, so I didn't know. :hyper:
