I bought this bass brand new this summer. It's served me well, and I've played some great gigs with it. I had the pickups modified with adjustable polepeices to equalize string volume. This modification is REVERSIBLE and gives the bass more bottom than normal Rics, which is a great (and necessary, IMO) thing. The bass still has its great traditional sound and chords and such sound great (not muddy like on my fender).

The bass comes with the factory SKB case (in excellent shape), all documentation, DiAddario Flatwounds and the original Ric strings.

There is a little dimple on the front of the bass, unnoticable unless youre looking for it and unnoticable in pictures. On the back of the bass there is a ding I apparently caused with the Shaller strap locks on my strap. I can send you a picture, its minor. All in all, this bass is in excellent shape.

Email for pictures. I'd rather not ship this thing, but perhaps I can be persuaded. It (and I) is located in Brooklyn, NYC. Email me at [email protected]. I'll accept money order or paypal.

    Thank you!

What's holding this bass back from being snapped up?

Is it the holidays, shipping, the price or the polepeice modifications?

Someone please let me know..., microphones need to be purchased and I promised myself I'd sacrifice some unused gear before I bought them.

    Thank you!

They sell for this price all the time.....I'm tempted myself :D

What holds me back is that you mentioned that you want a local sale (I'm in Cleveland, Ohio), I can buy a new one for an extra $100 and an Ebay feedback reference would be helpful along with what kind of payment you'd accept (it's easier to get people to part with "Paypal" money than it is "real" money).
Being around Christmas certainly doesn't help either :smug:.

    Thanks for the reality check...
I was figuring the holidays were styming me but I was wondering though if the polepiece mod was scaring people and whether I should swap 'em back. I generally stay away from ebay and only have 1 feedback from a watch I bought, so that's a drag.

    thanks
