Hey guys, just got this in a trade and it needs to be played and appreciated by a Ric lover, so hit me up! $1675 gets her shipped to you fully insured in the CONUS.

Absolutely MINT condition Ric 4003 Jetglo bass.
    Bought NEW in December.
    Never gigged.
    Never been to practice.
    Smoke-free home....seldom played.
    Hipshot bridge (brass)
    Treble pickup bezel.
All original parts included to restore to stock if need be.
    Strung with Roto 66s (40-60-75-95)
The classic Rickenbacker bass hard shell case.

This bass has been PLEKKed by Phil Jacoby, who also installed a bone nut.

I will always consider trades, but Im picky. I prefer slim necks, no painted or gloss please. 4 string fretted preferred, might consider a fiver plus cash from you. Really could use more studio gear like an Echo Fireface, mic pre, high end compressor (fatso) or empirical labs distressor...

Phil Jacoby did a refret and Plek on my '66 Jazz... The result is awesome. I am sure this Ric will feel and play perfect! I already have a couple of Rics, otherwise I would be after this one. Good luck with this sale... It will make someone very happy!

    Thanks Ron!

This has to be the "flatest" fingerboard I have ever played. It about plays itself and with that Plek job... oh buddy!

How's the neck girth on this one? I'm used to a Lakland Jazz neck which is pretty small in the first position. These newer Ricks seem much improved over others in recent years.
I'd like to find out if a horseshoe pup assembly will fit in the existing surround.

I did discover that the 'horseshoe surround' will fit in the same holes, only if turned around backwards. Otherwise, new holes would need to be drilled.

Any Rick experts wishing to chime in, are welcomed. What a bump!

I had a similar Ric setup a few years ago. Because 4003s have such little neck relief, a PLEK job is a must if you want low action. The Music Gallery did my PLEK setup. Made a significant difference.

Phil just did a Pleck on a Kramer era Spector and it plays better than new. I bet this bass kills it.
