That's okay my French listening is very poor so I appreciate your English talking!
Very nice! I'm a sucker for Ric style builds. We must be distant cousins! I've done one 4003 and one hybrid 4004 builds, a lot of struggle and fun.
The Hossenfeffer Bass Build
The Hossenfeffer II Build
Also check out some really nice Ric and Ric inspired builds by @ctmullins and @mapleglo
Très bon et très beau @Rick Man ! I love your attitude - "just do it" - great advice to anyone!
Holy cow sir!! I was NOT expecting to see bits and pieces start out in such rough bits....a LOT of work there! Nice.
love what you’ve done on this build, great stuff!
It's all in the Head isn't it? You can build anything with even minimal tools and a lot of determination. I miss building, been doing house renovations and other drudgery for months. I don't NEED another bass, but I NEED to build one anyway.
mine is more Frankenstein and less Rickenbacker
Très bien travail mon ami!
(excuse my French if it is wrong I am a mere French student!)
I don't have a full woodshop … So the body was made by an un-named friend, The neck from ebay, and other parts from ebay. I put it together and set it up. I tried 2 different necks, and different pickups, and different electronics.
Maybe you weren't a luthier when you started, but I'd say you qualify as one now. Beautiful work!
