Has anyone played/owned one of these? I am being offered one of these and have never sat down to check one out. If I got one and didn't like, do you all think there would be enough interest out there to sell it quickly? What's a good price for a used one?
  2. I have one..i consider it my main.

Beautiful basses. I love mine to death.

If you decided to sell it there would be alot of interest. Cii's are hard to come by.

Thanks for the input. What is a good price to ask for one of these used?

I've had one on order since last Nov. Could be close to a year before I see it. They sell in the $1500. area used. Never touched one, but I know I'll love it when I finally get it. BTW, that's a year from now, not a year total. What color is yours?

    It's transparent red.

Dude, it's a Ric. You could probably sell it to a deaf mute with no hands.

LOL. I realize that, but if I sell it, I want to be able to sell it fast.

Make sure its the real deal ( Rick site will help) and hasn't been hacked up by an "artist".

Bad Ass bridge and Vintage toaster neck Pup are about the most mods you want to see on a Rick.

Dual truss rod neck - make sure its not twisted.

There are some fake Ricks floating, but not too many and the real deal will be easy to spot.

Get it...if you do not like it you WILL be able to off load it quickly - especially with the wait on new RICS the way it is.....most likely, you will want to keep it though....

If anyone is looking for one of these...a local dealer has been sitting on one for a good long time now. Birdseye maple top w/gold hardware.

P.M. me if you'd like the name of the dealer.
(I have no assosiation with this dealer. I swung in looking for a 4003 the other day, and the 4004 is still there)
  11. I have one. It's a great bass. It will sell easily, and for a good price!

The UPS guy just dropped mine off 20 minutes ago.

I think I'm going to call in sick. It looks and sounds gorgeous.

A friend said it's a 22 month wait to get one on order from the shop...he just got it. It's the most beautiful bass i think I've EVER seen.

Got mine after a 26 month wait. Worth every minuet, and ever dollar. Great bass all around, mines strung up BEAD (65-125), sounds fantastic down low.
