Rickenbacker bass neck widths, 4001 vs. 4003

    Lots of talk about how new Rick bass necks are thicker than the old 4001 variety, but no NUMBERS to substantiate it. Anybody own BOTH 4001 and 4003? What's the comparative nut width and neck thickness, front to back in inches or milimeters?

    We don't need no stinking' numbers!

    That said, My 4003 neck is definitely thicker than my old 4001's, but never measured them, so I am of no use in that respect. As soon as I get a chance, I'll measure my 4003.

    The first result that comes up is a spreadsheet on the ricksource site with actual neck measurements. Not sure if it's still maintained... The second tab has some neck width measurements.
