  1. Does anybody know what this will be for 2006?
I'm hoping for white/black or burgundy... Fingers crossed! :hyper:

It will be announced in January at the NAMM show.

Don't count on Burgundy, as it was the colour of the year in 2003.
You can order a Jetglo (Black) with white trim anytime. It's a standard.

White (Blue, Red) with black trim were never a popular combination according to John Hall CEO of RIC. That's why they discountinued it.

I'd say, another year of Blueburst, ohh maybe a nice blackburst? A subtle one.

Well it doesn't sound like there will be one !!

I keep saying THERE IS NO NEW COLOR FOR 2006 . . . per se.

He said, no new color per se, but there is a chance they'll be something special for the 75th anniversary.

JH is being very cagey on the 75th - he has promised something VERY special, but no clues at all !! :bassist:

Yeah I'm quite curious to see what they've got up their sleeves for the big 75. John Hall's also mentioned, in recent days, a redesigned bridge/tailpiece for the 4003 that, judging from his comments, may be seeing the light of day soon; I'm equally curious about that I must say.

    How about tuxedo/blackstar/redneck!

  10. Whoa. I think I just fried my brain trying to imagine what that would look like.
    Ow.

Huh! I didn't mean all three combined, just making those three available (individually) again. But it does suggest some possibilities. But since Hall said there will be no new color, I guess we won't be seeing it.

I would love to see blue body/white neck/red headstock and triangle inlays.

And that patterned photoshop they're using in the print ads would be awesome!

  13. Im thinking along the lines of a lightshow...he said "No colour...per se" :ninja:

  14. good thought bass'es...the light show has no color "per se" until you turn it on,but could you imagine the price on a new light show 4005...downright scary

"no color per se"....one of those shifting paints? That would be wild. That also could mean some sort of natural....

"No new(emphasis added) color for 2006" (the actual quote) is not exactly the same as "no color."

I'd like to see them offer silver again. It looks killer with black binding and hardware.

If that's the case, silver would be cool, but I want blueboy back.
