One of my favorite Bill Paxton movies is "Frailty" which he both directed and acted in.

    RIP Bill Paxton.

EDIT: I just noticed the OP also mentioned "Frailty". Very good movie worth checking out.

One of the most genuine, down to earth, good guys in or outside Hollywood. Generally the passing of celebs doesn't really get to me much but this one does.

I'll be watching HBO's Big Love this week, where Paxton was the lead character.

Even when he was playing a jerk in a movie, I still liked him!

    RIP, Bill.

I remember him first from Trespass. Most recently in the well done mini series Texas Rising.
By all counts, he seemed like a great guy.

  13. His new TV series "Training Day" just got started too, and U571 is one of my all time faves as was A Simple Plan.
Trespass was really good movie as Mike said, and so was Frailty ... just a bit creepy. Sorry to see you go.

Truly, too young. He had so much more to give away in his acting reserve. I'm genuinely sad about this.

    A toast.

I will now be downing a shot of 18 year old single malt Scotch in memory of the life of Bill Paxton. Please join me.

    Good times.

RIP Bill. You will be sadly missed. A little know role that I liked was gus the garbage man in "a dark backwards". Now I officially get news from TB.
