RIP Bob Quine

    jim primate bass guitarist.

    while i'm sure most probably don't know who Bob Quine is, he's one of my very favorite guitar players. i heard he committed suicide, and while i haven't heard anything he's done recently just his work with Richard Hell and the Voidoids and Lou Reed has made him one of my heros. I think the he gave birth to the post-punk guitar style so many others copied. RIP.

    There was already a post about this. Richard Hell and the Voidoids are one of my favorite bands. They didn't put out much stuff, but what they did was incredible.

    i'm so in love with richard hell's voice that i always nearly faint when i hear one of his songs come on. i remeber reading how he got into cbgb omfung....it was funny....
