I was always a fan of Streetheart. He's likely unknown to most Americans, but he worked with one of the best rock bass players of all time, Kenny "Spider" Sinnaeve. Listen to the bass towards the end of their cover of "Under My Thumb":
Oh no way, they were planning on packing it in after this last tour too. I have a family member in the band so Kenny and the boys are well known among my clan. RIP Kenny. On a side note, Spider moved on to Loverboy after their bass player passed on. Seems like a pretty sweet gig. I cannot remember the name of who Streetheart has playing bass in there right now but he is a great player.
Sorry to hear. I always liked Streetheart. Paul Dean and Matt Frenette of Loverboy also were members at one time.
The drummer in one of my bands takes lessons from Streetheart's drummer. Spider is in Loverboy now, of course, but he still did play with them every now and then.
