Yes, this really sucks. Really. I loved the way he played. He wasn't your typical chiseled, muscular, ultra-athletic looking player either which made him even more lovable.

    Thanks Kirb's. You'll be missed.

Man. This is news to my ears. I heard about his stroke today, and now this.

The man was probably my favorite baseball player of all time. My family used to go up to the Metrodome and watch the Twinkies...

    Two quotes:

"Don't worry about me. I'll show up, and I'll have a smile on my face. The only thing I won't have is this uniform on. But you guys can have the memories of what I did when I did have it on."

"Don't take anything for granted, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us."

Thanks, and rest in peace... hopefully I’ll see you on espn classics

I really liked the way he played the game. I was bummed to hear about his passing. I'm glad I got to see him play in the flesh at the Oakland Coliseum a few times. And the 1991 World Series was one of the best I've ever watched.

    RIP Kirby
  14. What a downer - he was such a great player. RIP, Kirby.
