    I saw him on stage at The Ryman in the winter of 1974...and again, an hour later at Ernest Tubb's Record Shop. Shook hands with both Jimmy and Ernest (they insisted that I drop the "Mr.").

    My wife and I saw Little Jimmy in December 2007 at the Ryman when I attended a conference at Vanderbilt and had a blast. Jimmy was a classic and I recall Vince Gill stole the night with mad chops when he played. RIP Jimmy, you were a true entertainer.
