Anyone seen anything like this before? I sure haven't.

Looks like the original Ken Smith body was replaced.

It appears to be a Smith neck and the ad states he believes it is a different body. Am I missing something?

Ripoff? It clearly says it's a Ken Smith neck on a non-Ken Smith body.

That would be a ripoff why?

Yep, that is a Burner neck. Not a bad looking bass. If the offers were under the BIN price (and they were or the auction would have ended early), and the body is quality, somebody got a decent deal.

I know this will seem like semantics but he's calling it a Ken Smith hybrid bass, is clearly not saying it's a genuine Ken Smith bass and is making no effort to hide the fact that it's a Ken Smith neck on non-KS parts.

If he had simply titled it "Ken Smith bass", I could see your point.

I don't see the problem. There actually are people attempting to scam people on eBay... this sure doesn't seem like one of them.

It was closed due to an error in the listing. Probably becuase of the title of the item.

It looks like someone made a plate to cover the Ken Smith name and for whatever reason it was removed.
