The Chinese guy had the German's number right from the start, and gave him the correct answer.

  10. LOL.

Maybe it's only okay to rip off a design if you charge more for it than the original did.

Or am I being too cynical?

I kind of want a Ritter now just because Jens is obviously one classy guy.
If I had the money I'd just call him up and ask if he could build me a bass and say I don't care what design you use, whats on it or even what color it is, I just want what you to build it.
  12. At the DC-area GTG last summer Jens was on video conference and gave us a virtual tour of his shop in Germany. Really cool guy, lives in a really cool building and has a really cool job.

WOW. Yeah Mr Cheng there knew immediately that he was being BS'd.... although he may not have known who Jens was. Again hat's off to Jens for being so collected about it.... my friends on TB who know me, know that if it had been me.... I would have left in the police wagon and Mr. Cheng there would have left in an ambulance with a piece of headstock embedded in his skull.

The worst part about it is... Cheng will sell a million basses. If we as a country and a community had any kind of decency, Cheng's booth would have been mobbed and he would have been heckled and blasted right out of the building fearing for his meager life.

I hope he doesn't have any MTD copies in the booth... Mike is about as nice a guy as you could ever meet in your life, but stands about 6'3" and is nothing to sniff at when roused to anger... you'd see Mr. Cheng's dapper little frame go flying thru the air and come to rest painfully on his little display of shameless thievery.

Jens did hold it together pretty well.. I would have taken "the display" off the wall and smashed it... but that's just me.
