I love this bass, but I haven’t been in a situation where I can use it for quite a while and need to finance a 5 string, so I’ve decided to let it go. It’s in excellent condition with only very light, honest wear here and there. Plays great, looks great, sounds great. Arguably one of the most ‘upright sounding’ electric basses out there.

I'm not the original owner so I'm not 100% sure on the wood, but I believe the top is maple and the body is mahogany. Birdseye Maple neck. Fingerboard looks like cocobolo. 34" scale, width at nut appears to be a little over 1 1/2". Bass weighs just under 6 1/2 lbs. (6.45)

The bass came to me without a case. The few times it’s left the house, it’s been in a Gator 'pleather' gig bag that fits it perfectly, which I will include. I also have another heavier duty gig bag that I could substitute if the new owner prefers.

PayPal is preferred, but I can make other arrangements if necessary. I will split shipping costs with the buyer. CONUS only.

As far as any potential trades go, I’m looking for a traditional style 5 string with a 34" scale and 1 7/8" at the nut. Only interested in a P body or downsized Jazz body (I can't handle full sized Jazz basses anymore). Any trades would need to be on the lighter side - around 9 lbs or less. A Sadowsky PJ or JJ 5 string would be ideal but I'm open to other possibilities. Don’t really need any more four strings, but you can always ask. I do have a weakness for good American P-Basses: Fender CS or AVRI, Nash, Lakland Bob Glaub, etc. Please PM with any offers.

Or you could go with this one ...

Summit Guitar Pack. Nice bag. Hard to find as they weren't in business long. Similar to Road Runner, though heavier. Unique feature is the detachable brief case which has a lot of room for notebooks, cables, electronics, etc.

  9. Sweet. I had a mb2 I traded. Bad move. Would you consider a Bordwell 5? Specs pics etc if interested.

Are you looking for fretted only basses? I've got a beautiful Alembic Orion 5 string fretless with fretlines. Mahogany body, walnut top, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, mahogany fretlines.

I can't believe I'd consider letting it go...

Alembic makes some beautiful instruments - like playable art. I had one many years ago.
