Anybody know about the bass Rocco is holding in this picture?

I know that he recently became an ESP endorser, but I couldn't find this bass on the ESP website; they show him playing a jazz-style bass. :eyebrow:

    I don't think it's a Conklin - not their style at all.

it is most definately an ESP body shape. the B-style i believe. as odd as the pickup placement is, i'd be real interested in playing a production model, assuming they make one.

That bridge pickup must have some serious bite in that position.

I like the idea of the reverse-P p'ups and slanting the bridge p'up; articulate whump!

  7. Rocco just posted the link to the production model of his new sig bass. Anyone play one yet? I'm very interested in how the J sounds and how close the neck profile is to a Peavey Cirrus or Millenium.

They are pretty affordable too...the swamp ash 4 is $1200.

That looks like a beauty. I've got an Aguilar P/J set in one of my basses and I can vouch for the tone.

Looks great, love the oval inlays. Looks like RP is keeping his reverse P + slanted J, with 2-band setup. I wonder if the Aguilar stuff is custom spec'd like the Conklin Bartolini array was.

For comparison here's the Conklin RP sig. One of only about 30 built.
