Rock Bass by Warwick...any good ?

    Has anyone played or heard any of these new " ROCK BASS" basses by warwick ????? any good ? or what ?

  3. MIG Warwicks vs RockBass (MIC)
    Germany vs China
    Ovankol & wenge vs maple & rosewood
    Split bridge/tailpiece vs single piece bridge
    Active controls closer to pickups & strings vs farther away a la P-bass (I prefer this, but some MIG models like the one shown are also like that).
    Wide range of options vs limited range of production options.

    I have played a RockBass in-store. Not bad, but not buttah like my MIG. I guess RockBasses are OK if you don't mind margarine. I would consider one as a backup to my MIG.

    The Rock Basses are nice in my opinion. As soon as every body gets over the fact that they are made in China they will be accepted for what they are, lower end Warwicks. Ever notice how many people rave about there MIM Fenders? It wasn't always that way.
