Rock or non-jazz bassists that use single cut basses?

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by maturanesa, Jan 27, 2012.

  1. Is there any renowned bassist that plays a single cut (fodera type, not les paul etc) but play in a rock band or some like that?

He's not; I played that one the other day and it convinced me that I need a custom bass. Called Scott and sure enough, no longer taking orders!
****ing phenomenal, though. The thing sounds unlike anything I've ever played.

I tried a 26 fret 4 string a while back amd I was convinced that I would track him down to do a 19mm 6 string for me and he said that he is no longer building.... UGH!

The dude is a magician. I just got done playing that 4-string at rehearsal again. The bridge pickup makes my SWR Triad beg for mercy!
Got my 800rb back from GK's factory today, too, and the combination was nearly orgasmic.
