I don't know how many of you are System of a Down fans, but the new album WHALES. And I have to say that Shavo Odadijan is one helluva solid bassist. Thoughts? Input?

That song "Chop Suey" is cool. The bass players lines (dont know his name) arent complicated, but they fit the song and uh yeah, I like them.

  3. I got the new album Toxicity last week and it's great!
I loved the first album and have waited about 2 years for this one, and it was worth it because it's even better.
Best songs are Chop Suey!, Prison Song, Aerials, Deer Dance, and...... all of them.
I like Shavo as a bassist, he's not complicated or anything, but he does have good, solid lines.

  4. Yeah, i like soad, i'm going to see them in less then a week at the fourm. :D

yea i never liked them but that cd is REALLY really good... i'm not really that impressed by the bassist.. the guitars and vocals, and rhythms stand out as being origional... the bass rarely strays from the guitar roots... not that its a bad thing, just not too innovative.

  6. I thought the name of the album was Toxicity. :D
but i still need to pick mine up. but chop suay i can't get enough of!

I gotta admit SOAD isnt the most talented band out there. But its FUN to listen too. Its... i cant explain it with any other word than fun. Especially the new song "bounce" WOO!!!!

  8. he's alright, he fits well with the band members. you can tell the chemistry they have is sweet, which is by far more important than being a great bassplayer.

I recently picked up my copy. A masterpiece. Aerials and Deer Dance are my favorites. Pogo sticks rock!!

  10. Yay!! The new record is awsome!!!

  11. Good album, and a good follow up to their last one. The thing I like about this one is that all of the songs keep my attention and don't drag on that much.
