The RockBoard® MOD 5 extends the range of modules for the entire RockBoard® program (except RockBoard® DUO 2.0 and DUO 2.1) and offers guitarists and bassists 6 selectable IR-based mono/stereo speaker simulations, with support for user IRs (max. 1024 pts.), an active DI, a headphone port, as well as a micro-USB port (IR load, PC/MAC editor, firmware updates). 6 IRs for electric guitar and electric bass are included. In addition, like all RockBoard® modules, MOD 5 offers a simple solution for organizing all connections to and from an effect setup. Whether you are using a RockBoard® or any other brand pedalboard – the MOD 5 will open completely new possibilities. The speaker cab simulation & DI let’s you go direct, providing YOUR sound, whatever backline is being provided at the venue you’re playing. You want to use your favorite cab? No problem, load an impulse response of its sound into the MOD 5 and you have it with you, wherever you go. The patchbay part is designed to route connections from underneath your pedalboard to its front, in order to give you a central access point to your setup and tidy up your connections. For silent and on the road practicing, the MOD 5 also provides a headphone amplifier with adjustable output volume. Comes incl. mounting screws, counter nuts and TX wrench. Power is supplied via an optional 9V DC power supply unit. Available in May. {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
That looks awesome! I wonder if you could plug an iPod or phone into that for silent practice as well? Brent
Doesn't look like it. I think they'd note that as a main feature. But as is, this thing is amazing for me. The IR's are a total bonus, I have that ability already and don't use it really. But if I had them direct in my DI, I probably would. The biggest things for me are the headphone out, the I/O's and the DI!! This is so killer. I could and def would use this. I hope it's not really expensive, I def want to get one.
Another "why didn't I think of that?!" moment. (smacks forehead) I build my own pedal boards. I wonder if I could just get my hands on the control panel ...
The module itself looks to be around $200 then you can add the pedalboard of your choice {{for_title}}
I've got the Rockboard Duo 2.1 and like it a lot. Was able to get it all neat and tidy with the Strymon Ojai R30 as the power supply, which fit underneath. Excellent small board. {}
