I've been looking for a decent rackmount noise reducer and I came across this. Is the Rocktron Super Hush C good for bass, or as its described, for guitarist only. Can anyone reccomend any other Noise Reducers?

  2. Best Noise Reduction unit for Bass that I know of (and own myself) is the Boss Pro NS-50 half rack unit.

It has instrument level I/O and stereo line level +4 or - 10 db I/O; noise reduction with threshold, decay, and gain reduction LED's to -40db. It can be dialed in to completely eliminate all noise and still maintain all the sustain.
You can cut noise originating from pick-ups, pedal board, etc... before it hits the preamp AND kills noise after the preamp/line level effects in stereo or mono before the power amp...
    all at the same time.

I just use one of the Line Level I/O's (Left/Mono) in my effects loop for total silence.
    It kicks major butt.
    Absolutely and completely transparent.
