Rocky 6 in 2006, yes it is true so far.

Not really new news but I respect Sylvester Stallone but I think you can ruin a good series of movies with too many sequals...Rocky was one of the greatest movies in our generation.

Rambo was also great, he kind of fell off of his acting superstardom in the 90's. The last great Rocky film to me was the one when he fought Ivan Drago the Russian fighter I think that was Rocky 3, I don't think I saw 4 or 5.

  2. Ivan Drago was #4. Number 5 is the one where he trains this street kid to become a boxer, and then ends up having to fight him in the end. #2 was Appollo Creed I believe, #3 was Mr.T.

And I couldn't believe it either, but I am getting to see my favourite videogame turn into a movie(Silent Hill, also being made by sony). This movie will probably be the best videogame adaptation ever(the writer and director played the games when writing the script to get as much out of it as they could.) The teaser trailer is amazing, and all the stills I have seen have led me to believe they have actually recreated the atmosphere that is Silent Hill, while paying a lot of homage to the games(through camera angles, the characters they use, the monsters in the game, the basic plot of the movie has bits and pieces from the first 2 games, mostly the first one). WHen I first heard about it I thought it was going to suck, but myself and many other fans included have all decided they have done right by us so far.

Anyways, back on track. Rocky was a great movie, and Adrienne actually had a decent role in it. All the subsequent ones she got more and more annoying. Unfortunately the movies all declined in quality after the first one, as did Rocky's mental state(one of Ivan Drago's punches really did him good). I probably won't see this in theatres(and if I do itll be the cheap $2 theatre), but I hope they get rid of Adrienne, and that there is still some sort of continuity between the movies, so that Rocky isn't burdened with an overabundance of intelligence(not that he ever was).

Ohh ok, I remember Apollo became Rocky's trainer, then Ivan finished Apollo then Rocky beat Ivan.......that was the one with James Brown in it :bassist:

Yeah then Rocky 4 was the last one I saw then 5 was that one boxer (forgot his name)

Stallone has had some awful movies as of late(may not be all his fault) the one movie Get Carter was so bad I heard they did not want to preview it or release any trailers

Then he had the race car move, and he did an Assasin movie or something

His reality boxing show the Contender was great I thought but I heard it was cancelled

May all time favorite was Rambo 2 First Blood when he was in the mountain area hold up....eating the boars and all that :hyper: :hyper:

I just liked seeing David Caruso get stabbed in the leg. Man, that'll make my day any time.

His name is Tommy Morrison. He actually was a boxer but was banned due to having HIV/AIDS. He is the great-nephew of John (The Duke) Wayne.

Actually, the first movie was titled First Blood. Rambo II was where he goes back to Vietnam.

  7. It was indeed amazing!

I dont think Rocky 6 will be good, its one of these things they would probably be best not making

My all-time favorite is Rocky II. That final fight with Apollo is the best. I was 12 when it was released and it brought some tears to my eyes when Rocky won after that distressing countdown. I also remember that there was a fire in the biggest cinema in my town and Rocky II was the movie for the re-opening (several months after the fire).

I hear Rocky 6 takes place in a nursing home...the part where he whups the male nurse with his walker is supposed to be insane! He gets mad because he gets a sponge bath from him, but he specifically requested the blonde nurse with the short skirt! And one of the other sequences, where he breaks out of the home in an electric wheelchair (chase scene on the freeway) to get to the Spectrum for his fight with Apollo, but gets lost, ending up in Cherry Hill, NJ in a warehouse district is pretty cool too...

    ;) :D

Rocky was great. A movie about an unknown getting a shot at the big time works best if it's understated and straightforward, like the hero. Rocky II was less so, but it seemed like it was about to have "franchise" written all over it. And then IMHO it just sort of seemed it was being milked.

Henry V somehow was made without four preceding films. But then, the sixth Star Wars movie was Episode III. Malcolm X? How did I miss nine previous episodes???

I understand that in Rocky 6, Sly takes up playing the DB. Somthing slow and relaxing for his tired mind. :D

(Ohhhhhh...you're gonna hear it about that comment.....)

  13. I heard it started with an opening along the lines of

So, you thought the retirement home couldnt get anymore extreme . . . then it goes into an intricate story of someone stealing slys cathater bag, and in the background Segal (who plays a disgruntled native american) saves a small child from some evil corporation, and Arnie comes swinging back in as the terminator again, but he's evil, like the original, and it ends on Hogan leg dropping him . . . Mr T appears in it too

That would be a good film :nods:

However, yeah, annie would have to be back aswell, she has a couple subtle but great lines :D "Dropping off or picking up?"
