Fantastic handcrafted Roger DC6 Neck-thru 6-string Bass. Designed and constructed by luthier Ray Roger who once worked for Carl Thompson Basses before going out on his own. Easily comparable to a Carl Thompson or Fodera, this amazing instrument gives up nothing in terms of playability, craftsmanship and tone. I bought this as my first 6-string bass after having spent almost a year of demoing nothing but the best instruments before settling on this one. It’s rare to find an instrument from an unfamiliar brand that feels immediately comfortable to your hands, this became even more of a challenge when looking for a 6-string. Mr. Roger is a player himself and it shows 100% in his consideration to the ergonomics and specifications of his instruments. Such a versatile instrument that naturally sits so well in a mix; very even response and string-to-string presentation. The electronics give it a huge pallet of tones to work from. Slap players who've been challenged to find a 6 they can easily work with, this is the one!

I’m the second owner and have upgraded the control knobs to better match the top and new preamp I’ve installed. Additionally I’ve installed a brand new Nordstrand 3B-5b preamp. Deluxe gig bag included. $4250 $3000 Shipped/Insured within the lower 48. Low-ball offers will kindly be ignored. Willing to meet for local sale - Paypal ok. Trade offers +/- $ cash by PM. Thank you!

*Update 8/21: Newly installed 3-way switches now function as independent single-coil, series and parallel selectors for each individual pickup. No drop in volume regardless of setting... great just became greater.

Thought I'd also detail the control cavity. Respectfully, it's now better than factory. Excess wiring shortened, better routed and secured. Solder joints and shielding have been improved.

The split coil switch works only with the Howard's pickups correct? The Big splits are single coil. Can you clarify?

Yes, that's correct - only splittable with the original pickups. I've actually reinstalled Howard's as they have slightly better string-to-string balance. The Big Singles sound fantastic due to their wide aperture but are 18mm in spacing.

I'd used the asterisks (*) trying to denote the pairing of functions to equipment; sorry if I wasn't clear.

I've been content with sitting on this one as it's my only 6.

Still available and with a nice size discount as of today (7/10/16)... come and get it!
