I called his shop this morning to talk to him about his RJ5 and other basses, prices etc,, this guy was so nice and polite, unlike some I have talked to,:spit: "IS HE FOR REAL" I saw a RJ5 in jet black I liked and he answered all of my questions, and acted like he was looking forward to hearing from me again! I am over 40 years old so I have a very good sense of when some body is blowing smoke up my behind, or if they are sincere. Roger appeared very sincere, If I had the cash, I would get the bass because I have heard many good things about him and his gear :) Its really nice to talk to a dealer is polite and sincere for a change, here is a pic of it!

kudos to Roger for great customer service!!!!!

    Peace and Blessings:bassist:

I once complemeted Roger in a post, and he emailed me to thank me. BTW, you and Nino may have to duel to the death for that particular bass! :D

The bass is black, the pickguard is black. It's the most "blah" color combination I've ever seen and it's gorgeous.

    How does he do it?

    How about "Sadowsky"?

(On edit - kridrazil beat me to it.)

  9. yekcko, thanks for the report. When someone offers a product or service, and goes to great lengths to help with questions, there is significant value in knowing that the vendor truly cares.

I used to think it was shadowsky :) . I really like the black, but I really really really like the natural! I want one.

My next bass will probably look something like this:

  13. When I visited the shop last October Roger greeted me at the door, shook my hand and said "Hi I'm Roger." He gave me the grand tour of the place and then turned me loose to try out whatever bass was in his soundroom at the time. The man knows how to treat his customers (or in my case a future customer once funds allow). The only disappointing part of my visit was that I showed on Nino Brown's day off. :(

I visited his shop when it was at 1600 Broadway a couple years (5!) back. He was very nice, and I couldn't believe he let me play a couple of his instruments after he heard how terrible I was (am) when I played the first one. I believe he had hartke kickbacks in his sound room back then.

I like this RJ5 in jet black, it is very elegant.
It's a good choice yekcko and moreover you can't go wrong with a Sadowsky.
