I have a roland db700 combo and I want to use it with a bass-pod. Is there a way to have only the preamp-sound of the pod, and not the preamp-sound of the roland?
Is here someone who's using this amp in combination with a pod? If so, can you tell me something more about it?

You can bypass most pre-amp sections on combo amps by just plugging into the efects loop return jack instead of the input jack.

Yep, that's right (I can do that with my laney-combo) but with my roland, the roland pre-amp is stil colloring the tone when plugging into the effects loop (but it ads less color - but also less power).
