Roland GK-3B and GK-2B with other Midi Synths

  1. The one's already mentioned in this thread are the best "bang for the buck." The Axon is a bit pricey but you can do well with a used Yamaha G50 or a Roland GI-20.

AXON does make a smaller version of its pitch to MIDI converter, the AX50 USB. It has no onboard sounds but has some more connectivity features than its big brother. It's around the same price range aas the used Yamaha and GI-20. Dunno if it tracks as well as the AX100, but I would assume that it tracks at least as good as the G50 and probably better than the GI-20. Might be worth looking into.

    FWIW:

Actually you're more likely to get a pedal effect and a rack/box controller/converter. Some of the older rack/boxed controller/converters are pretty inexpensive. You'd probably have to go with a seperate pedal board and most of those aren't cheap for what you get and there's probably compatibility issues. The GR 20 is a pedal version controller/converter but it has few bass patches and no editing capabilities of any consequence - and it's not cheap.

You might check some of the Berhinger stuff. Some of their stuff is actually a good buy for the money depending on your needs and seems they have a controller that fits into that category - though not pedal in recall.
