Ron Carter at The Regatta Bar

    One of the best ever...
    Saw Ron a few years back with a "nontet"
    (9-piece ensemble)- he played a lot of piccolo bass-
    Then, saw him in concert with Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, & Al Foster-
    Need I say how that performance was?
    Well, I will! Unbelievable masters, Sonny Rollins hit some overtones which I still can't believe, & Ron Carter- He defines how the bass should be played
    & sound- it's total maturity.
    Who's in his current quartet?

  3. My favorite upright guy! I missed seeing him in February. I'll try again. He plays on the Never Never Land CD. (among many others)
