I'm looking at getting another 5er to add to my other...I like the style of this bass, and I like the passive controls. But, how do they sound, play, and how tight is the B string? Anyone, care to share what they know about this bass:D

A search will yield more than an evening's reading on the RB5. It sounds bitchen, the B is tight if you put the right strings on it, and many on this board consider it the best bass Fender ever built ... five-string, anyway. It may or may not be.

    Hey Munjibunga,

What strings do you use to give the RB5 a tight B?

I currently use DR Long Necks which I think are similar to the Hi Beams. My B string is pretty tight, but I would not mind trying a different string if I could tighten the B up even more.
