I received the first fretless Roscoe I have ever played and I am so very impressed with it - everything i have read about them is true and then some. So I was sitting around and decided to get some of theat sweet tone on "tape" - This is the bass pictured - with a smidgeon of reverb, direct in - no added eq.
these things really sing.. and easy to play with the lines, I'm not a fretless player...

Sweet, dude! I'm sure someone will be along to tell you that you should have recorded it dry or whatever so they can do a lab experiment...pay no mind. I'm keepin' my Roscoe SKB3006 fretless. Great mwah. Playing is bitchin', as always.

    thanks, fellas,
Boogie, there's so little reverb there i could've kept quiet! ;)
by the way, I will ellaborate and make a tune out of it, it was inspired by Jaco, of course, but more so by missing my daughter Lauren who has been away for the summer.. she is everything in my life. Just thought she should get a mention.

Carl, I don't appreciate it when people hold grudges against me, then act civil in direct communication but act out their aggressions in dumb passive-aggressive ways like this. Get over it.

Tut-tut... why don't you guys take it off-line or to a new discussion? Seems there is some old stuff we're not aware of that you're continuing here, and I don't think adrian's thread needs this.

Ha, ha! Some pretty wild assumptions there. Sorry you thought my comment was directed at you, dude. But if you're guilty, you have lots of company, I'm sure! :D

    I love Roscoes' fretless tone.

    Really clear and smooth.

    Lines help me too!!!

When I do get another fretless...it will likely be one just like this.
