Roscoe LG 3000 Oh my!

  1. Well, if you have read any of my most recent posts, you would know that I have been on a quest to find my next bass for about 4-6 months now! Not to take anything away from my beloved Yammy, but fafter 25 years of playing the same bass, I really wanted something different.
I have been to virtually every shop in town, looking for the bass that screams to me BUY ME! I have played numerous MM's, Bongo's (which was a somewhat close 2nd!) Fenders of all shapes and builds, Sadowsky, Lakeland, Suhr, Warwick, Spector, well, in a nut shell, quite a number of basses! LOL
I had recently found out about a bass centric shop here in Toronto, that is exclusively for bass players and carries some very nice/high end basses. I finally had the time to get there, it's a three day drive and a boat ride from my house! I knew what to expect as all basses are available to view on line. I had my eye on one in particular and well, after a very short time with the bass, I pulled the trigger!
Here it is, my brand new Roscoe LG 3000! It's SPanish Cedar with Exhibition Quilted Maple top, Maple/Purpleheart neck, Maple fretboard, Tobacco Sunburst. It was born in the USA on August 28th and serial number is #5866!
Here's a link to the shop I bought if from and their on-line pics of the bass.

As I am as technically challenged with posting pics, I'll put up these links for your viewing pleasure! These were takin in my back yard yesterday! I hope you enjoy them!
This bass just screams to be played! After spending about two hours with it, I only then realized that for years, I had been "fighting" my Yamaha! It tone is unbelievable and it's ability tho vary that tone is incredible!
I've always wanted a Maple neck bass as I just feel more comfortable playing them... this is my dream bass!
    Here's some more pics!

    Very nice.

Last time I paid a visit to Dave at Club Bass I walked away with a 5-string Rob Allen MB-2 :hyper:.

Probably a good thing I live on the other side of the country from that store (although, ordering my LMII and Berg cab from him wasn't very difficult either).

  3. That one is ok, you should see the one for sale in the TB classifieds........;)

  4. I saw that! It's fretless and not what I was looking for... but for that price... some one should "steal" it from him!
